About Euresa EEIG
Euresa EEIG (European Economic Interest Grouping) was created in 1990 and is today an operational and flexible tool for cooperation and collaboration among ten European insurance companies belonging to the Social Economy.
Facing the large, traditional insurance groups, these companies have chosen a very pragmatic networking approach (sharing of resources, close cooperation in strategic areas, etc.) that enables them to work in a European perspective and thereby strengthen and improve their position on their respective markets, while at the same retaining complete decision-making autonomy.
Reaffirmed and revised cooperation in 2006
Making use of experience acquired over the years, the member companies began in 2006 a new phase in the life of the EEIG by revising its mode of organisation and governance in order to further strengthen its operational character.
Activities are now based on joint projects chosen according to strategic themes, in keeping with the needs and expectations of the member companies.
The member companies therefore decide on the organisation of workshops, development of joint projects or the initiation of shared practices. The choice depends on whether they want to benefit from the experience of other members, develop joint action at the European level or share their resources through an innovative activity.
