Lagun Aro is part of Mondragon Corporation, the largest business group in the Basque Country and one of the main groups in the Spanish State. In 1982, at the heart of Caja Laboral Group, under the protection of Mondragon Corporation, an exciting new company was created: Seguros Lagun Aro. Leader in its category in the Basque Country, with continuous growth at national level.

The financial group of Mondragon comprises two of our shareholders:

• Caja Laboral, the group's bank,
• Lagun Aro EPSV, the group's private pensions managing institution.

The third shareholder is Bazkideak SCP, a company formed in 2004 to enable SLA people to participate in the management and have a shareholding in the company.

Seguros Lagun Aro is present accross the whole of Spain, with a turnover of 1,000 million Euros and is leader in the insurance market of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country and Navarra.
