Established in 1992 at the initiative of organisations and individuals close to the Solidarnosc trade union, TUW TUW (Towarzystwo Ubezpieczen Wzajemnych TUW) is the first mutual insurance company to have emerged in Poland after the fall of communism. Euresa Holding and its members have, from the very beginning, supported this project through technical and financial assistance. The companies Macif, Maif and P&V – continuing their support to the development of mutual and cooperative companies in Europe – are still involved in the ownership of this Polish mutual company.

In 2011 the company achieved a growth rate of more than 33.1% and a market share of 1.33%.
