Founded in 1880, Laererstandens Brandforsikring G/S (LB) is a mutual insurance company whose members are teachers, nurses and other selected groups of employees as well as the members of the Danish Automobile Federation (FDM).  The activities of the LB Group are based on the principles of Mutuality (a common interest in having an insurance cover that is adapted and at the best possible cost).

Laererstandens Brandforsikring G/S is the mother company of LB Group, composed of subsidiary and/or associate companies among which are Bauta Forsikring, Runa Forsikring and FDM Forsikring.

The LB Group is in 4th place in terms of the number of vehicles insured and one of the largest non-life companies in Denmark.
